Ontotext Supports National Data Mining Competition

National data mining competition took place in Varna on 17 and 18 Oct, and the focus was usage of SPARQL. Varna Free University is the event organiser. The competition has three rounds – in the first round 25 participants solved tasks for a time. The second round participants competing teams of three, and in the third round participants write requests for semantic data using SPARQL queries.

Ontotext was a sponsor and partner of the event (QUERYADA), providing GraphDB for the third round of the competition, and helped the jury in the final evaluation.

QUERYADA competition aims to improve students’ skills in SQL, and motivates them to work with semantic data, supporting their initial steps towards an area that is most used in practice.

The event provides opportunities to connect industry and business with students, allowing them to be challenged and collaborate in solving a particular problem.
