Bulgarian data centre Daticum JSC joined the biggest world organisation for exchange of IP traffic between global operators – Amsterdam Internet Exchange (AMSIX). This membership will enable customers of Daticum to directly connect with over 700 IP networks that generate business traffic over 4 terabytes/second. It will ensure better quality of services that the company provides to its customers.
“The members of the Amsterdam Internet Exchange are small and medium companies, as well as global leaders in Internet content like Google and Akamai “, said Milen Nikolov, CTO of Daticum. These are traditional ISPs, international telecoms, mobile operators, online content providers, Internet voice services, Internet applications hosting companies, broadcasters and others.
The organization maintains points of internet traffic exchange in Hong Kong, the Caribbean region, New York, California and Chicago. It is also the creator of first mobile peering points – Global GPRS Roaming Exchange (GRX) and the Mobile Data Exchange (MDX), which provide exchange of data between mobile operators.
Daticum is part of “Sirma Group Holding” JSC, which will start its initial public offering (IPO) on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BFB Sofia) in September 2015.
