Sirma is ranked among the top 3 software companies in Bulgaria in a study by IDG – first in growth and efficiency. Staff number exceeds 80 people.

2004

Sirma becomes a founding shareholder and main technological partner in System for Electronic Payments – SEP Bulgaria , AD.

2003

Sirma's quality management system becomes ISO 9001:2000 certified.

2003

Sirma purchases new Class A office for its headquarters and R&D center in Sofia .

2003

Ontotext Lab. becomes the most active Bulgarian participant in research projects under the 5 th and 6 th Framework Programs of the European Commission.

2003

WorkLogic Corp. becomes a qualified supplier of information technology solutions and services for the Government Online initiative of the Federal Government of Canada.

2002

Sirma becomes initiator and a founding member of the Bulgarian Association of Software Companies – BASSCOM.

2002

Sirma Media is established with the release of the first Bulgarian electronic encyclopaedia and Slovnik – the first complete set of Bulgarian language proofing tools for Microsoft Office and Internet Explorer.

2002

Sirma Solutions wins a large contract with the Ministry of Defence, Bulgaria , for development of an automated artillery command and control system. Sirma C4 Systems is thus established.

2002

Sirma Solutions wins a long-term contract with Bulbank AD Unicredit Group – one of the largest Bulgarian banks – for supply of IT consulting services and development of mission critical banking software.

 

2001

Sirma is given as a high-tech success story example in numerous international studies and publications. Staff number exceeds 60 people.

A joint-venture with Nexcom Telecom Corp. is established for development of billing and customer support solutions for Voice-over-IP telecoms. It later spins-off as EyeBill Interactive Solutions Corp.

2000

WorkLogic Corp. successfully implements work management systems at the Library of Parliament and the Federal Election Commission, Canada .

2000

Ontotext is established as Sirma's research & development lab for knowledge processing and computer linguistics.

1999

EngView Systems wins the European Information Technology Prize.

1998

Large projects for development of e-commerce software begin for Silicon Valley customers in the USA .

1998

EngView Systems Corp. – based in Montreal , Canada – is established to focus on specialized CAD/CAM systems for sheet materials.

1996

WorkLogic Corp. – based in Ottawa , Canada – is established to focus on web-based systems for work management.

1995

The strategy to develop separate business units focusing on specific technologies and markets is adopted. Staff number exceeds 20 people.

1992

Sirma is established by 6 colleagues, friends and classmates. Companies are registered simultaneously in Canada and Bulgaria .
